We are seeking a Research Scientist II to perform original research with the goal of developing marketable products. Research Scientist II - Immunoassay Development


 

Responsibilities

In addition to performing original research, you will also be tasked with supporting a variety of projects within our R&D division. You must be able to manage your workload with minimal supervision.

 

Your specific duties for this role will include:

  • Dedicated to one project or a portion of a complex project, including feasibility and troubleshooting projects.
  • Independently develops intellectual property.
  • Defines tasks and plans the work required to meet project milestones.
  • Ensures data, protocols and reports meet project objectives.
  • Maintains project documentations in accordance with internal and external requirements.
  • Writes technical reports, scientific publications.

Qualifications

As a Research Scientist II, you must be very detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time-management and multitasking skills. You should have outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities and display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. It is also important that you possess the ability to interact tactfully and effectively with employees at all levels of the organizational structure.

 

Specific qualifications for the role include:

Candidates should have a MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology or related field and at least 8 years of relevant industrial experience.

A PhD with 2 - 4 years relevant industrial experience is preferred.

Industrial experience with in vitro diagnostic antibody-based assays and experience with Luminex is a plus
